Cook-Wissahickon offers a large and active music program that includes two choirs, a theatre program, a drumline, and an orchestra/band. The Music program at Cook-Wissahickon has created several successful after-school programs, including two regionally recognized choirs, a percussion ensemble, and a theatre program.

Instrumental music provides lessons for the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and various percussion instruments.

In addition to performing regularly at school functions, Cook-Wissahickon music students have been chosen as members of the highly selective All City Elementary/Middle School Chorus, Band, and Orchestra. Our former students now perform in some of the city’s finest high school orchestras and bands at CAPA, GAMP, Central, Masterman, and Girls’ High School.

Pleasecheck the music website for information on the school’s music curriculum, co-curricular opportunities (e.g., choir, theatre, bucket drumming ensemble, band, and orchestra), and special music department fundraisers.  There is a  specialpage for Choir, Bucket Drumming, Theatre, and Band and Orchestra Information.
